What to Expect
- We are a welcoming church. We believe that:
- Every person is of equal value in God’s sight.
- Christ welcomes each person with open and loving arms.
- Christ loves us unconditionally, and wants us to come to Him just as we are.
- Christ loves us too much to leave us as we are. He challenges us to grow to be:
- More loving
- More faithful
- More Christ-like
- We love children. We offer children’s church, but we also welcome children in our worship service.
- We live in a harsh world, but Christ says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. – Matthew 11:28-29
How Should I Dress?
Casual dress. We want you to feel comfortable.
Our Worship Service
Each service may be slightly different, however, we usually:
- Sing praise and worship songs – both contemporary and traditional.
- Collect a weekly offering from our regular members. Guests do not need to participate, if they so choose. This is our act of worship.
- Share announcements, joys, and concerns followed by an intercessory prayer.
- Listen to a scripture reading
- Have a sermon followed by a time of silence to allow the Holy Spirit to speak to us
- Dismiss with a closing hymn and prayer.
